Known as an odorless and solid plastic Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is probably one of the most fascinating, most versatile, and oldest thermoplastic polymers. It is chemically inert, resistant to water and environmental corrosion; it is also a good electrical and thermal insulator and maintains its properties over a reasonably large temperature range.
PVC is one of the most used polymer due to its various application in items such as pipe fittings, bottles, junction boxes, door handles, telephone handsets, chair backs and seats, water filtration pressure tanks, ventilation grilles, and corrugated roofing. Other usages of polymer are in housings for electrical equipment and general chemical engineering applications.
Essential to the production of successful PVC is the use of other additives, in addition to plasticizers. Hence, at Roky Plast, we employ Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) homopolymer, a semi-crystalline polymer with a relatively high room temperature tensile that can be lowered by plasticizing entities to produce semi-rigid and flexible items.
